We have been very happy with StruCad and StruM.I.S .NET. It has worked together efficiently, from the preliminary take-off, to the detailing and fabrication, and finally erection; the material can be tracked, even if the piece marks change. This system is also great for keeping track of older inventory in order to utilize all the materials available. Also - out of all the estimating programs I have used this is by far the best.

StruCad software and especially our use of the macros developed with StruMac is helping us to rapidly generate 3D solid models and fabricate error free. We fast-track detailed the Suncor Energy Steepbank Mine Dry Surge Stacking Conveyors using StruCad. The clash detection system in StruCad was vital in the elimination of access problems and member conflicts. This feature when combined with StruCad freeware was invaluable in facilitating efficient project team collaboration. The quality and accuracy of the 8975 automatic drawings generated for this project was first rate and all concerned were very complimentary.

The geometry of the steel structures was very complicated incorporating glass and pre stressed cables. The entrance was of an unusual architectural design, as the old brick museum building was enlarged with a modern glass entrance.
