Any project can be issued as a whole or in parts at different times during the project lifetime. All mark and solid data are maintained from one issue to the next, automatically generating the initial issue model and ensuring changes are persisted from one issue to the next.

Utilizing StruCad’s superior issuing and production facilities, the Model Management and Issuing System automatically controls the production data produced using the same functionality as the modeler, creating a consistent interface.

Powerful security and administrative features allow user rights to be controlled at a global or project level, providing great flexibility while still being simple for the user. Administrative features such as back-up facilities, user administration and many other features provide a wide variety of project control and system maintenance options.

Greater Supplier Flexibility
The introduction of a new General Cold Rolled Macro allows for standard cold rolled connections to be configured to suit many manufacturers and connection styles.
The macro supports Zed, Cee & Lipped Angle profiles which can be configured for both side rail and purlin applications.
Multiple Standard Fittings sets may now also be created - such that upon creation of a new model, a standard fitting set can be allocated to the model. A different Standard Fittings set can be created for each client and then selected when starting a model. This localization of Standard Fitting information provides a greater level of functionality, as each model can contain different standard fittings appropriate to a particular fabricator.
Further Integration – Additional Simple Connection Design Functionality
StruCad V15 sees the introduction of additional Simple Connection Design functionality, in accordance with the requirements of the provisions for ASD and LRFD (design for strength using ‘Allowable Strength Design and Load and Resistance Factor Design’) detailed in the 13th edition of the AISC Steel Construction Manual.
These connection macros can now be used in 1 of 3 modes to give varying degrees of connection checks, design and output. These modes are:
Manual Mode: Models the connection exactly as specified. No Design Checks performed.
Manual & Check Mode: Models the connection exactly as specified and then performs a design check. Should any aspect of the design check not pass, the joint will be highlighted with a ‘Red Dot’ to indicate a failure.
Automatic Mode: Automatic mode will design & model the connection to pass all design requirements where possible. This mode also works with double sided connections, with no loads.
Enhanced StruWalker
The free redistributable StruWalker package has been enhanced to include a horizon effect and gradient background.
The StruWalker can now display a horizon or ground plain in all view modes (including ‘fly through’), providing an improved viewing experience.
A gradient background can also be displayed, graduating from one color to another from the top to bottom of the screen. All of the new features can be used with StruWalker files generated from any previous version of StruCad.
