Latest Cold Rolled Updates in StruCAD V11
30th April 2006
As part of AceCad’s commitment to the continued development of StruCad, we are pleased to announce the release of the latest two Cold Rolled Updates for Albion Sections and BW Industries.
Albion Sections, in association with AceCad Software, is pleased to announce the release of a fully updated range of Albion cold rolled sections, ancillary components and supporting connection macros in Strucad. These, together with AceCad’s new Ascam system for the generation of CNC data for Albion parts, are available for use within StruCad V11, as part of Service Pack 1.
This comprehensive development, undertaken jointly by AceCad Software and Albion Sections, enables the automated detailing of the full range of Albion cold rolled sections, within the StruCad 3D Steel Detailing System, offering increased productivity through improved integration. Albion Sections has obtained ISO 9001:2000 accreditations and has recently made a substantial investment in new computerised rolling mills, with laser marking of sections, and in new MRP software resulting in:
Improved manufacturing accuracy - sections now available up to 400mm deep
- eaves beams with sloping top flanges from -10 to 27 degrees
- enlarged range of Zed purlin and C Sections
- erection marks on section lips - easy identification
- symmetrical sections to reduce mark numbers
- reduced lead times - 7 days for rolled to order materials
By utilising StruCad’s acknowledged leadership in the modelling of cold-rolled components and the accurate and automatic report generation from its Ascam system, sections selected from the Albion standard range as part of a Strucad model, may then be imported into the Albion on-line quotation tool and subsequently ordered.
"AceCad has delivered this integrated development work on time, accurately and with efficiency second to none. As part of our commitment to our valued customers the implementation of Albion’s Cold Rolled Sections within StruCad V11, the leading and most widespread 3D Steel Detailing System used amongst our customers, is seen as a natural and important step"
John Jones, Albion Sections
