evolution Launch and User Meeting Regional HQ Success
16th July 2010
Many companies associated with steelwork engineering, detailing and fabrication attended AceCad Software’s evolution Launch and User meetings throughout June and July. Venues ranged from Leeds, UK, Chicago, USA, Auckland, New Zealand, Brisbane, Australia and Johannesburg, South Africa.
Announced in December 2009, AceCad Software’s name and branding for its new solutions and soon to be released redeveloped product suite is "evolution". The evolution series will reflect the substantial step forward in technologies and working practices for the steel engineering and fabrication industries resulting in significant productivity gains through advanced interoperability and communication tools.
Recently reviewed by AEC Magazine’s Editor Greg Corke, who comments; ’Structural steel software specialist AceCad has just undertaken what is arguably the biggest development to its software since it started out in the 1980s’ He continues to say ’AceCad identified that its software needed to bring together everyone involved in the steel fabrication process to improve efficiencies and drive down costs. Embedding advanced interoperability and communication tools directly inside all of its core products would do this. From a software perspective it meant re-writing its products using Microsoft’s Visual Studio 2008 .NET and SQL Server 2008 technology’.
These pivotal events for AceCad Software drew keynote speakers such as - Mr Luke Faulkner from the AISC and were supported by several Partnering companies including Kaltenbach, Prothious, Workstation Specialists, AEC Magazine, Peddinghaus and Controlled Automation. Guests travelled from as far afield as India, Denmark and Venezuela, as well as from across the USA and Europe.
