Children of the evolution

AceCad Software’s evolution suite has just been reviewed by Greg Corke of AEC Magazine. Greg comments; ’Structural steel software specialist AceCad has just undertaken what is arguably the biggest development to its software since it started out in the 1980s’.
Announced in December 2009, AceCad Software’s name and branding for its new solutions and soon to be released redeveloped product suite is "evolution". The evolution series will reflect the substantial step forward in technologies and working practices for the steel engineering and fabrication industries resulting in significant productivity gains through advanced interoperability and communication tools.
Greg comments ’AceCad identified that its software needed to bring together everyone involved in the steel fabrication process to improve efficiencies and drive down costs. Embedding advanced interoperability and communication tools directly inside all of its core products would do this. From a software perspective it meant re-writing its products using Microsoft’s Visual Studio 2008 .NET and SQL Server 2008 technology’.
