Trainee Steelwork Draughtsperson - UK
AceCad Software Ltd based in Derby, is looking for a Trainee Steelwork Draughtsperson with a keen and analytical approach for its busy Drawing Office.
Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager, the role will be a trainee position and the right candidate will be expected to attend both internal and external (College) courses. General duties will be in line with the day to day needs and requirements of a busy drawing office, including liaising with draughtsmen, preparing drawing packages and associated general administrative duties. This is an excellent opportunity within AceCad Software - the owner and developer of StruCad, the World’s leading 3D structural steel detailing system, to enter the leading drawing office in the country and develop a rewarding career.
Candidate Profile and Skills required:
- Minimum 5 GCSE’s grade C and above (including Maths & English).
- Flexible and enthusiastic, with confidence and the desire for a career as a Draughtsman,
- Excellent communication skills - both written and spoken,
- Well presented and good organisational skills.
- Keen eye for detail and analytical approach.
This position is ideally suited to a recent school or college leaver with good exam results.
